If you only have one or two days, we recommend you to start visiting the Great Mosque of Cordoba and the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, its fountains and spectacular gardens. The rest of the day you should get lost in the Jewish quarter which is a set of narrow streets full of charm where you will find ancient buildings, beautiful courtyards and places full of history where you can also taste the best tapas.
Before going to your next destination, you could visit the archaeological site of Medina Azahara, located only 7 kilometers from the city.
We recommend you to hire at least one professional guided tour to fully enjoy places like the Mezquita or Medina Azahara. You can also buy tickets for the tourist bus that will allow you to get to know the city comfortably from the panoramic bus and that also includes several guided tours on foot free of charge.
To complete your experience in the city, the best options are undoubtedly a tour of the Patios de Córdoba, a night of Flamenco, the equestrian show with Andalusian purebred horses and end your stay with a relaxing Hammam bath.
If you have more time do not leave without visiting the Palace of Viana, the Christ de los Faroles or the fantastic Castle of Almodóvar.
